Fix Google Ads blocked by missing consent mode
Where Google Ads shows your consent mode status, and what to do if it's missing.
If Google Ads can't see consent signals for visitors from the EEA or UK, remarketing and conversion measurement for those visitors suffer. KukiBot sends the signals automatically — this guide shows how to confirm Google Ads is receiving them.
Check your consent mode status in Google Ads
- In Google Ads, click the Goals icon, open the Conversions dropdown and click Summary.
- Click View all conversion actions (top right).
- In the Tracking status column, hover over the status of a conversion action. If consent mode is working, the card says consent mode is active.
- For more detail, click the conversion action and open the Diagnostics tab.
What the statuses mean
- "Consent mode is implemented" — signals are arriving. Conversion modeling hasn't started yet; Google needs enough traffic first (Google cites 700 ad clicks over 7 days per domain and country).
- "Consent mode is implemented and modeling is active" — everything is working.
- No consent mode status — Google isn't receiving signals. Follow the fixes below.
Fixes when signals are missing
- Load KukiBot first. The KukiBot script must be in the
<head>above your Google tag or GTM container — see correct setup order. - Check the script is on every page, including landing pages used in your ads.
- Verify with Tag Assistant — step-by-step check. The same signals feed GA4 and Google Ads.
