What you need

A KukiBot account — free, no credit card
WordPress 5.0 or higher (tested up to 6.7)
Administrator access to your WordPress site

Step 1 — Download the plugin

In your KukiBot dashboard:

Open your site
Click the WordPress tab in the Installation section
Click Download plugin ZIP

You get a file named cookie-consent-widget.zip. This ZIP is unique to your site — your site ID is baked in at download time.

Step 2 — Upload to WordPress

Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New Plugin
Click Upload Plugin at the top
Select cookie-consent-widget.zip
Click Install Now
Click Activate Plugin

Step 3 — Done. Verify it works.

Open your site in a private/incognito window. The consent banner should appear immediately. No settings to fill in.

Load priority: hooks into wp_head at priority 1 — before GA4, Google Ads, GTM
Theme compatibility: Elementor, Divi, Astra, GeneratePress, Kadence, Avada — all themes
WooCommerce: fully compatible
Database: stores nothing in WordPress — all data lives in KukiBot dashboard
Uninstall: clean removal, no traces left

⚠️If you have another cookie plugin installed (Complianz, CookieYes, Cookie Notice), deactivate it first. Running two consent plugins simultaneously will break both.

Frequently asked questions

The banner is not showing — what's wrong?

Check in a private/incognito window — if you already accepted, the banner won't show again
Make sure no caching plugin is serving a stale page — clear cache after activating
Confirm the plugin is Activated, not just installed
Use Dashboard → Check deployment to confirm the script is detected on your site

Can I use this on a client's WordPress site?

Yes. Install on the client's site, then transfer the site to the client from your dashboard when ready. The plugin keeps working — nothing changes on their end.

How do I update banner settings?

All settings (colors, position, language, geo-targeting) are in your KukiBot dashboard. Changes apply within minutes — no plugin update needed.
