Show the banner only to EU visitors
Geo-targeting is included on every plan, including Free.
The three options
- Everyone — every visitor worldwide sees the banner.
- EU + UK only — the 27 EU countries plus the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein (GDPR / ePrivacy countries).
- EU + UK + Brazil — the above plus Brazil (LGPD).
How to change it
- Open your dashboard and click the site.
- Under the banner settings, pick the option in the geo-targeting section.
- Click Save. Visitors pick up the change within about 30 minutes.
Defaults
- Sites added from the dashboard start on Everyone.
- Sites created automatically by the WordPress plugin start on EU + UK only.
What visitors outside the region get
They don't see the banner, and KukiBot tells Google tags that consent isn't required for them (Google Consent Mode is set to granted), so your analytics keep working for that traffic. No consent is recorded for them.
How the country is detected
From the visitor's IP address, by Cloudflare's network. KukiBot doesn't store the country.
⚠️Other laws — for example California's CCPA — may apply to you depending on where your visitors are and what you do with their data. If you're unsure, choose Everyone.
